Send Text from Firefox to your TiddlyWiki via TiddlySnip

tiddly-snip-logo.pngTiddlySnip is a small Firefox extension that allows you to quickly send text snippets to your TiddlyWiki that we previously set up here. Recall that TiddlyWiki is a single file personal wiki that is super portable; allowing you to enter notes, random ideas, and projects wherever you are. Furthermore, by combining TiddlyWiki with the power of LaTeX equation typesetting, you’ll have a powerful scientific or math notebook at your fingertips.

Once you’ve configured TiddlySnip to point to your TiddlyWiki (which can be online or in a file), use TiddlySnip to submit entire web pages, clipboard contents, or specified text along with custom tags. The next time you open your TiddlyWiki file your snippets will be there, already tagged and organized.

Also check out TiddlySpot if your are looking for an easy way to host a TiddlyWiki online. I simply carry mine around via a USB memory stick, but an online version would be nice too. You can find a list of useful Firefox extensions here.
