You may be familiar with Scientific American. This oldest periodical in the United States has been around since 1845! Well, the magazine that your grandfather’s grandfather might have read has a new website called 60 Second Science. Building on the success of Scientific American’s daily podcast of the same name, 60 Second Science aims to be comprehensive in its coverage of big stories while also being a source for those useful bits of scientific information that everyone should know.
The site is updated throughout the day by a team of writers whose bylines have appeared everywhere from Slate and Wired to Rolling Stone and the Huffington Post. Each article is designed to be a quick read during those free moments when you want to update your scientific knowledge, hence the name “60 Second Science.” Selected categories include, Technology, Environment, and Space.
You can subscribe to their RSS feed or listen to their popular podcast.
