Gotan Project - La Revancha Del Tango

This is one of the sexiest albums I’ve heard. Of course, tango is the sexiest dance, so that’s no surprise. Gotan Project are Parisians who decided to mix things up a bit. This album was revolutionary, combining classical tango with electronic, even hip-hop at times. Go to any milonga (i.e. tango dance event), and if they happen to play a non-traditional piece, chances are it’s one of the Gotan Project’s. The purists may scoff, but the youngsters or adventurous ones have flocked to this group. Play this one with the candles on, and keep your dancing shoes close. Oh, and don’t forget a dancing partner.

All the songs are great, but standouts include Queremos Paz, El Capitalismo Foraneo (video below), and Vuelvo Al Sur (remix of El Capitalismo Foraneo, w/ vocals).
