Zaphu is a small editorial team that writes about the everyday technology most people actually use: Mac computers, iPhones, Ubuntu and other Linux desktops, and the software that runs on all of them. The site grew out of a habit of writing down the fixes and settings we kept forgetting, then turning those notes into guides other people could use too.
Every guide starts with a real device or a real install, not a press release. Before we publish a how-to or a recommendation, someone on the team has walked through the steps themselves, checked them against the current version of the software, and noted where older instructions might lead you astray.
We choose topics based on what readers are actually stuck on – a confusing Ubuntu update, a setting Apple moved again, an app that claims to do more than it does – rather than chasing whatever happens to be trending that week.
As an Amazon Associate, Zaphu earns from qualifying purchases made through links on this site.
If something in a guide is unclear, outdated, or just wrong, we want to hear about it – reach out through the contact page and we’ll take a look.
